Inchnacardoch Land

We are acquiring Inchnacardoch Land which is the shoreline and Layby from  the A82 just north of Fort Augustus. Our aim is to preserve this area for future generations and also to bring the area up to current Safety, Health and Environmental standards so that it can be enjoyed by the community. Unfortunately at this present time the layby is closed to the general public.

The work needed is projected to be of significant expense as we will be upgrading the layby, slipway access, paths, signage and historical/cultural interpretation of the area. The photos below show the current and unacceptable state of the site which highlights the work that needs to be carried out before the site can be considered safe for the general public.
